Bitcoin halving explained

A halving cuts the new bitcoin paid to miners by half. The latest cut was 19 April 2024, to 3.125 bitcoin a block. The dashboard uses a 1,460-day model to the next cut, and a countdown page for the days remaining. Past cycles often peaked 12 to 18 months after a cut. The Calendar marker shows that clock. The Score marker shows heat, which can still be cold when the clock is late. Not financial advice.
